Week 26 baby, one away

Week 26 baby, one away from the start of the third trimester. Whoa. Let the fretting commence.

Yesterday was an interesting one for us. In the early afternoon, we had Aidan's first birthday party. It was kind of strange because it seems like just yesterday we were peering at him through the nursery glass on the night he was born. And now he's one, and such a big boy who talks and motors through the house and eats real food. He really went to town on his birthday cake, I wish we would have remembered the camera! It's been great to have such a close friend with a son, because I've gotten to watch him grow through all his stages, and he knows me (he always acts shy when I first come over), and it just helps me so much in planning for my own baby. I feel like I've gotten a little "preview" of what's coming up for us. So, happy first birthday to the original Teen Wolf.

After the party the day got crappy. Mike had been having stomach pains since Friday night, so we ended up down at Hamot for 6 hours of tests and stuff. It wasn't a great time, but I'm glad we went through it together. That's the great thing about being married. You always have someone by your side, for the good stuff and the crummy stuff. Turns out to be nothing terribly serious, and we got to come home with some medicines to help with pain and digestion. Today we've been laying low, watching tv and hanging out. Hopefully Mike will feel better soon. I'm off to prepare a bland dinner!
